'Ask Anything Saturday'... is held weekly at the Unleavened Bread Cafe in the heart of Indy's inner-city. But ANYONE & EVERYONE can participate and benefit from this wiki, even if you don't happen to live in Indy.
But just in case you're interested, visit the cafe online...
And now, there's a second location joining into the 'Ask Anything Saturday' program... Victory Village Shoppe. PTL!
But the 'Ask Anything Saturday' wiki-site is specifically to grow out our collective knowledge of IMPORTANT Questions & ANSWERS which will be useful to our neighbors...
...and lots of urban neighbors in communities across the city and country as they watch our model.
How can the people of ubcafe communicate better? Do we believe the same about our faith? Why is there so much of a difference in Christians who read the same book? Come ask those great questions and dialog with others. After all, there's a lot resting on the outcome -- LIFE... or death. Choose LIFE.
Tagging... "Taking a world of chaos, and making it orderly."
(some call it 'bookmarking' or 'social-bookmarking')
[Also visit 'Tags4God' wiki-page -- to see why & how to use TAGGING for the cause of Christ.]
TAGS... are keywords. Use them as you bookmark your favorite websites or pages, photos or videos. And don't save your bookmarks on just YOUR computer -- save 'em out on a public page on the internet so you can SHARE them. That's why we sometimes call it SOCIAL bookmarking.
Tagging... is a new way to bookmark (save) your favorite articles, pictures, videos or anything with an internet address (URL, link, permalink)... and adding some descriptive keywords (tags) to help you remember how you classified it and saved it.
Example... If I came across a great internet page showing the latest greatest research about internet usage, I might tag that page-link and assign it some keywords (tags) such as... internet... research... usage.
Then later, from my page of saved tags, I can simply click on 'internet'... or 'research'... or 'usage'... and it'll retrieve all the page-links I've saved using those keywords (tags).
How & where can I do all this? My recommendation is go get a del.icio.us account-ID. It's the most popular tagging site. [And if you do get a del.icio.us account-ID, drop me a line so I can check it out.]
Advantages of tagging?
Free & easy.
You don't get a headache wondering how you classified something -- you can use as many tags as you like.
Your list of tagged favorites is an internet page -- so you can get to it/them from any computer hooked to the net.
And if you make your tagged favorite available publically... other people can benefit from looking over your shoulder and seeing what you consider to be valuable.
If you use del.icio.us, you can see how many other people also tagged that particular site or article or video... and you can see THEIR page of tags... and learn from them too.
At del.icio.us, you can create a 'network' page consisting of recently tagged items by other users you've added to your 'network'.
All your tag pages at del.icio.us automatically create an RSS feed.
We're building a cadre of 'Embedded Reporters' -- capable of tagging, of course -- to serve as virtual volunteers at times to help leverage the efforts of faith by others doing the hard work of ministry. Here's our first attempt to deploy such a corps of volunteer 'embedded reporters'.
